Exodus: 35:30-35 says; "Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts - to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to work in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship. And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers - all of them master craftsmen and designers.” "
God has chosen each of us to perform His will in wherever he places us. He gives specific skills and talents to every child of God and places in strategic positions to perform miracles for Him and thereby demonstrating His power through us. In whatever profession we are, God has chosen it for us and anointed us to excel in that profession. In verse 30, we can see that it was God who chose Bezalel and gave the skills, ability and knowledge to do all kinds of craft works. God not only wants us to excel in our job but also wants to teach and lead others as mentioned in verse 34; "And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others."
No matter how skilled or talented we are, everything comes from God. Nothing is our own. We should be good stewards of the talents that God has entrusted in us and use it for His glory. We should not be proud of or boast ourselves for our skills, talents and knowledge. But should be thankful to God for choosing us and for His grace. If we boast, let us boast in the Lord as 1 Corinthians 1:27-31 says; "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no-one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord" "
