What can we as Christian Americans do to reverse the horrific situation our country's leaders have placed this nation in?

We are at a point where we need to make some changes. Uncontrolled spending and a lack of a balanced budget are not an a solution. People are out of work, home foreclosures, the recent S&P downgrade, stock market volatility, fighting wars in three countries, importing foreign oil, corruption, I could go on, but what do you think?

Honestly, I feel a bit Quixitic beating up on the government for getting us into this mess because it's just in the cards that things would play out this way and worse yet, I have made many of the same mistakes they have made. I pray we all get our fiscal house back in order but barring miracles, which I believe in, the journey to fiscal soundness will be beyond painful.
