Lavonya Jones Biography

Mrs. Lavonya Jones, is making an indelible mark as a trailblazer in the Urban Gospel Industry. Known to many as a General in the Body of Christ, with the mantle of an apostle, Mrs. Jones is a woman on the rise, having over five (5) years of experience in consulting, planning, and organizational expertise. Hailing from a distinguished musical background as both a vocalist and DJ, Mrs. Jones realized that she preferred the business aspect of the industry, and went on to receive her B.S. in Entrepreneurship from Hampton University, and her M.A. in Organizational Leadership (with a Concentration on: Coaching and Mentoring) from Regent University. While pursuing her degrees, Mrs. Jones spear-headed and coordinated several major events in the Virginia region. Among those projects was, “Unity Fest”, the 3-day Conference that united the seven cities. Mrs. Jones leadership skills were also exhibited in her position as Founder of both: Proverbs 31 Ministry and Rho Eta Gamma Women’s Leadership Society, and Event Coordinator of B.L.O.K. Headz Multimedia Conglomerate. Having successfully merged her passion for music with her passion for youth and young adults, she brings ten (10) years teaching, mentoring, and counseling experience into every business endeavor. Skilled in conflict resolution, facilitating diverse learning, and building productive relationships with clients and staff, Mrs. Jones is presently utilizing her qualifications and hands-on, life experiences, in her position as Senior Vice-President of Strategy & Planning for the Urban Gospel Alliance International (UGAI), and as Founder and CEO of Lasting Legacy Leadership Services. In addition, Mrs. Jones acts as a Consultant & Planner for international gospel artists, such as, the award-winning Hip Hop & Poetry duo: Platinum Souls. With a life dedicated to restoring excellence and God’s order to the Body of Christ and entertainment, helping young adults pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors, and developing cutting edge, trendsetting organizations that impact the world, Mrs. Jones is an invaluable asset to the urban gospel industry worldwide.
